My usual fix is to lay underneath with a hammer and hit the starter motor but in this case I couldn’t do that! I think it’s been coming for a while but this time the starter motor has completely seized and almost lit on fire with smoke pouring out from the bonnet when you really try to start it. This time the Land Rover Defender 110 needed recovering and was picked up by the RAC and delivered home…During this video I also take you to LRO international to pick up new parts and the grille from UpRoar4x4 to go on my defender 110. In this video, I show you the condition of the defender and the plan for this full Land Rover build. I bought this Land Rover Defender from Canterbury City Council without even seeing it and got it delivered last weekend. Now the excitement of it being delivered has worn off, I've had a chance to properly take a look around and see the real condition of it...and it's not great. There is more rust and corrosion than I was hoping, but I'm excited to get stuck into this project and get started with it. Subscribe to see the build progress!

The crossmember on the new Land Rover Defender 90 looked solid until I got the hammer out and tapped around… then a small break suddenly became this 🕳️ 🏖️ I guess it’s life patrolling beaches had finally caught up with it! Chassis did look relatively solid but now I’m not so sure… If you’ve not seen this Defender go check out the newest YouTube video now!

I've bought my wife a Land Rover Defender...Right now it isn't what she wanted but it's a perfect base for a build! It's a bit rusty in parts but overall I feel like it's better than I thought it would be. This is going to be a great project and I'm looking forward to doing a lot of the work myself on this one (building myself up to the thought of a chassis swap!)
